OUTREACH UPDATE

SCRIP is for sale on Sunday mornings only! Come buy gift cards to local merchants in the Narthex.  The cards are sold between services.  All profits are designated to outreach ministries.

Change for Change turns your pocket change into hope.  One of the many ways we help support Hopelink is by donating our pocket change each Sunday morning.  The plastic jar is in the Narthex waiting for you as you pass by.

Food/Non-perishable donations for Hopelink?Another way to help our local food bank is by bringing donations.  Each month we focus on a particular category of items that are not readily available at the food bank or cannot be purchased with food stamps.  For April we will be emphasizing personal products such as soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc.  Thank you for your support.

"Towel Drive"  During the month of April, the Social Ministries committee will be conducting a towel drive to benefit the Lutheran Compass Center.  Towels of all sizes are needed: bath, hand, wash cloth, and kitchen towels.  They don't need to be new, but need to be serviceable.  They will be used in the Compass Center's Women's Programs, Men's and Women's Hygiene Center, Emergency Shelter for Women, First Church Men's Overnight Shelter, and at their Transitional Housing facility.  The Compass Center can also use individual size (such as those found in hotels) shampoo, conditioner, lotions, etc.  Please bring your donation anytime during April and put it in the designated receptacle in the Caring Corner in the narthex.  Questions?  Please can Marilyn Iverson (425-483-0366) or Janet Jorve (425-486-0176).  Thank you for thinking of the needs of others.

"FILL THE WASHTUB!" During April, WELCA will be collecting new, wrapped bars of soap to be shipped to Lutheran World Relief with 200+ quilts that our quilters have been busy making.  All will be sent to those in need around the globe.  Help us fill the washtub!
