Adult Education Sunday School Registration

 

Christian Education at First Lutheran serves all ages...

 

 

Sunday School: Sunday School Classes are available for 3 Year Olds through 6th Grade. We are so thankful for every student and for our faithful Sunday School staff! 

 

A Children's Choir is rehearsing with Steve Stevens on Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:00 AM in the Music Room.  These 1st - 6th Grade students plan to sing at both worship services on Youth Sunday, April 27th.

 

Junior High Confirmation Class: Spring Quarter began on Sunday, March 2. 

7th Grade students attend the Sacraments class, taught by Roger Steinke, Pastor Doug Stensby and Mark Hatlen.  A group of 8th and 9th graders attend the Church History class, taught by Gale Ensign.

 

The Rite of Confirmation will be celebrated at the 11:00 AM Worship Service on Sunday, June 1.  There are 12 students who are preparing to celebrate their Affirmation of Baptism.

 

The High School Class  for students in Grades 9 - 12 meets in the Youth Room.  Through Bible study and discussion, students: "grow in their faith, explore ways to live their lives and learn to connect with each other in meaningful ways."  This class is led by Kevin Kastning and Laurie Berg.

 

ADULT EDUCATION:

Sunday, April 13th:     The Adult Education Class will feature a " question & answer" session with Rev. Chris Boerger, Bishop of the Northwest Washington Synod of the ELCA.

 

CROP WALK is May 4th!  You may pick up your pledge envelopes beginning today. 

 

GUYS AND DOLLS will be presented by Trinity Lutheran College in the Chapel  at 4 pm today.  Tickets are $8 for adults and children under 12 are free.  For more information please go to www.tlc.edu or call 425-392-0400.

 

LOOKING AHEAD

Living Stone Conference will be held on April 18th and 19th at University Christian Church in Seattle.  This conference will discuss what is happening to Holy Land Christians, why so few stay in Palestine/Israel, and to find out how U.S. Christians can help.  This conference includes lunch on both Friday and Saturday, with an evening banquet on Friday.   Registration fees are $50 at the door on Friday morning, discounted pre-registration fee of $40, or a group discount of five or more from the same church, pre-registered, at $35.  To register contact livingstonesconference.org or 1-800-838-3006.

 

UPCOMING ADULT EDUCATION

Sunday, April 20th:  Pastor Doug Stensby continues his adult class on the book of Ephesians.

 

Prayer Shawl Blessing will be on Sunday, April 20th at both services.  If you are working on shawls please bring them to the church by Friday, April 18th.   Thank you!
